Debut Trailer for The Wolverine Released
The first trailer for ‘The Wolverine’ was released earlier this week. This film seems to be based around a man who can take away Logan’s healing abilities, an interesting concept for fans of the comics but one that wouldn’t really work. I’m interested to see how they explain it, but after the sting of disappointment I’ve had after every other film he’s been in (apart from First Class, his cameo was the best Wolverine appearance in film yet!) I do not have high hopes for this.
Deadpool Might Slate Wolverine Origins in His Film
It would seem that Deadpool’s depiction in Wolverine Origins wasn’t just a sore point for fans of the character but from the character himself too. Ryan Reynolds did an interview with Empire this week and has stated that ‘Deadpool was not happy with Deadpool in Wolverine. He has a sort of a WTF!? moment with that’. This can only be good news, not only is the film planning to break the 4th wall but they’ve also realised that Deadpool’s representation in Wolverine was nothing short of awful. It does, unfortunately, sound as though the fate of the Deadpool film is very much in the balance. We’ll just have to wait and see if this will ever be a reality.
Battlefield 4 Announced with a 17 Minute Gameplay Video
Battlefield 4 is now an official thing, slated for release early next year on next generation consoles shooter fans will no doubt be looking forwards to this one. The announcement was coupled with a 17 minute gameplay video which shows off the next generation graphical capabilities. It’s definitely worth a watch just to see how pretty it looks, even if it is just more Battlefield.
Bioshock Infinite is the Highest Rated Game of 2013 so far
Bioshock Infinite released earlier this week to worldwide praise and excitement. The game scored incredibly across the board and currently sits at a 95 on Metacritic. We have been playing it here at APB and absolutely love it so far, if you haven’t got this in your life you probably should!
New Nova Series gets a Change in Creative Team
The reboot of the Nova series with new centurion Sam has been well received but it seems that the current creative team is only staying for 5 issues. The guys are being replaced by Zeb Wells and Paco Medina as of issue 6 because they are working on other projects at the moment. Look for a review of the Loeb/McGuinness 5 issue Arc on the site when it concludes later this year.
